Smart Gardens

For over 16 years now we have been lighting up Gardens around the country, from small urban gardens installed in a few days, through to country estates installed in a few months, and everything in between. However in the past few years, as consumers have done inside the home, we have seen our clients (new and old) demanding more from their garden in terms of technology.

This has resulted in our technological expansion into installing:

This we achieve through installing our Sonos multi-zone music system along with products from our range of outdoor waterproof speakers.

Wiring to specific points in your garden or mounting indoors, on the threshold with outdoors, we can offer you all potential TV inputs from your sky package through to the Internet whilst you sit in your garden and enjoy the outdoors! With the screen either being automated, turned, projected or simply brought to the transmission point, subject to the individual cover and security of the property.

Combining CCTV cameras, the outdoor lighting system, PIR’s, timers, pressure sensors and even your outdoor music system we create a comprehensive garden security package that ensures that if someone enters your property uninvited you will be made aware of the intruder!

We now install Pergodas and awnings, offering shelter from all the elements allowing you to plan your summer outdoor social events as you would do your indoor ones, with the structural yet retractable nature of the Pergodas taking it to another level with smart technology for the outdoors.

We install external power supplies able to cope electrically with high wattage products as well as wiring in fixed waterproof heaters to enable you to enjoy your garden for months of the year in this transition spring and autumn periods when you still want to be outside.

Installing automated sprinkler systems to your lawns and beds ensures that your lawn and plants are watered sufficiently whether you are busy or not present, whilst optimising the time and which things are watered which often coincides with when you are in bed. These can be comprehensively done on larger projects through a tank and pump system or simply off an outdoor tap on smaller projects.

By adapting your existing greenhouse to the technologies outlined above, a specifically manufactured intelligent greenhouse or a smart lawnmower we can ensure your plants get what they require in terms of: light, heat, water and attention they require, which can all be monitored remotely by the installation of a camera and thermostats.

Let's talk about your new project

1How long does it take to install garden lighting?
The simple answer to this is: if done well longer than you assume as it is very labour intensive. With obviously each job being subject to the variables you would assume of size of property and number of lights/equipment required that directly impacts on the time. Read more
2Should the cables be buried in your garden?
Where on display yes the cables should be buried and down to an 18 inch depth with caution tape half way up the trench as a warning to would be diggers. However cables can be on the surface and where they cannot be seen and depth maybe impeded by continuous route systems such as hedge lines they can be strategically threaded down them on the surface. Shallow burying should not occur on 230v armour cable at all and although you can on 12v cable it will only just lead to excessive damage to cable runs over time.
We also offer a laminated wiring diagram to clients highlighting where all cables 230v and 12v are either buried or run, as well as locations of transformers and drivers for future ease of maintenance.
3Will your installation come with an electrical certification?
Yes all our installations are Part P certified and tested and our installed in line with the current regulations.
    4Can we install it ourselves?
You can and some people do, but we would always recommend that you do it in line with a certified/qualified electrician. However that may not be enough as many electricians don't have enough experience with the outdoors, highlighted by the number of poorest installed systems we have now had to go out and replace. Here more often than not they have chosen poor quality cheap equipment, not located things in the best positions and not respected water in their overall design of the system.
